Type F thread cutting screws have a tapered point and are ideal for steel, plastic and brass.
Round head types are dome shaped with flat bearing surfaces. They have a higher head height than pan head fasteners.
Combination slotted/Phillips drive types are used with either a slotted or Phillips driver. They combine the linear slot of slotted head types with the cross-shaped slot of Phillips head types.
Steel is strong and durable but less corrosion resistant than stainless steel. To improve its resistance to corrosion, it may receive additional finishes and coatings.
